Catherine’s Kids is a US accredited 501(c) (3) Christian nonprofit, founded in 2005. We dedicate ourselves to transform the lives of abandoned special needs and medically fragile children in Baja California.
Catherine’s mission is to transform the lives of underprivileged or abandoned, medically fragile special needs children by providing a loving home where their emotional, medical, educational, and spiritual needs are met, giving them an opportunity to live to their full potential.
CATHERINES KIDS OUTREACH MINISTRIES
Catherine’s reaches out to the community beyond the walls of the orphanage and is constantly assisting children with special needs who live with their parents but cannot afford their care. We also support people with disabilities of all ages who cannot pay for a wheelchair. We have donated over 400 wheelchairs. Catherine's Kids organized in 2018, with the help of the Ministry of Health of Baja California a dental health outreach in our facility in Rosarito. We had over 50 patients attend, including our children, staff, local neighbors & children from other orphanages.
These are the two awards given by the State of Baja California to Catherine's Kids in 2017. The award on the left is for Catherine's Director Jan Platovsky for outstanding altruistic work on behalf of the most vulnerable and at risk population. The award on the right was given to Catherine's Kids Organization as the best in kind orphanage for special needs and medically fragile children.
